Better questions before a decision
Direct contact is useful when the details matter: a child needs an earlier bedtime, your flight arrives late or your group needs separate beds. Ask the same questions for every option you compare. Direct booking does not automatically mean the lowest price; compare the total and the conditions for the same dates and guests.
Keep the agreement in writing
Before sending payment, check the property name, dates, cancellation terms and official contact details. Keep the confirmation and payment reference. Partner transfers are a separate booking and are not included unless your written offer explicitly says so.
Use direct contact to resolve specific questions
The useful part of a direct enquiry is the opportunity to discuss the actual stay. A family can ask whether the sleeping arrangement works for its children; friends can clarify bedroom privacy; a late arrival can check the access plan before buying dependent travel. These questions often matter more than a generic description such as comfortable or convenient.
Direct contact does not remove the need to compare the full price and written conditions. If you compare a platform offer with a direct offer, make sure the apartment, dates, occupancy, cancellation terms and included charges match. A lower headline amount with different conditions is not an equivalent comparison. Ask the team to explain an unclear item before agreeing to it. Keep any promise important to your decision in the written booking conversation.
